Came here with 5 others for a birthday dinner. We ordered: - 2 Tapas: Chanquetes Fritos (Deep Fried White Bait) and Gambas Al Ajillo (Classic Garlic Prawns) - Parrillada De Mariscos (Seafood platter) with Chips & Salad for 2 - 2 Paellas: Valenciana (rice, chicken, seafood) for 2 and De Pollo (rice, chicken) for 2 - Garlic Bread The dishes are on the smaller side, so we needed to order a second paella later as we were still hungry. The Chanquetes Fritos were a little peculiar - soft and very fishy. Squeezing the lemon juice made them easier to eat. Not our favourite. On the other hand, the Gambas Al Ajillo was amazing: juicy prawns, fragrant and cooked perfectly - easily popped out of the shell. The Parrillada De Mariscos was, for the most part, quite nice. The barramundi was cooked perfectly, the calamari had a great crunchy coat, and the mussels, while small, were very tasty. Prawns were like your classic deli prawns - no complaints there. However, the pipis were extremely chewy, and we didn't get any scallops. The Valenciana Paella was great. Good flavour, good consistency for the rice, and fantastic presentation. There was also a good mix of both chicken and seafood. Unfortunately, the De Pollo Paella was bland and dry, very disappointing compared to the other paella. Perhaps it was because we ordered it later in the night when it was more busy. Chips, salad and garlic bread were as you'd expect - your normal sides. Service was extremely long. Whilst the Tapas came out first without too long of a wait, our first paella (Valenciana) & seafood platter took almost an hour to come out. Our second paella, which was ordered later in the night, took over an hour. Whilst they inform you that the paellas take 30 minutes, waiting double this time left our group hungry and wondering if it had been forgotten. Even when we asked the waiters how much longer it would take, and asked if they could check with the kitchen, they did not give us a clear answer, and just said "it's coming". Atmosphere had some good and bad aspects. It had some very cool Spanish decorations, and they had an amazing Flamenco show: a very great look into Spanish culture. On the other hand, it is quite loud inside the restaurant so it's difficult to chat with each other and the waters. It is also very cramped, and was particularly difficult for my grandmother to navigate. Overall, this experience was not superb, but not terrible either. Some dishes are really good, like the Gambas Al Ajillo and Valenciana Paellam, but others were a little disappointing, especially for the smaller serving size and high price. Service was also not ideal during our visit.

I came to celebrate my birthday at this restaurant and we ordered a paella, and it was simply amazing. Everything was really good. I thought the portion was great for two people — we were already full and we hadn’t even finished eating yet, so it’s totally worth it. And the service from the waiter — I don’t remember his name now — was amazing as well. He was super nice. The atmosphere was great too. This was on a Monday.

I had an amazing experience at Spanish Tapas. The food is absolutely delicious, and you can really taste the quality and authenticity in every dish. The portions are excellent and perfect for sharing while enjoying the atmosphere. The restaurant has a warm, vibrant vibe that truly makes you feel like you’re experiencing a little piece of Spain in Sydney. The waitresses are always very kind, attentive, and make the whole experience even better. I always go there because the food, service, and atmosphere are consistently amazing. If you want to experience the best of Spanish culture in Sydney, this restaurant is definitely a must-visit. I will definitely keep coming back!

The paella was a bit bland, but when we asked for chilli oil they didn’t have any, so they gave us sriracha instead — which made the paella taste much better. Everything was cooked fresh, although the extra sriracha was extra charge. The scallops tapa was okay -slightly salty. We enjoyed the chorizo, churros and the sangria.

The tapas came out fast and taste was 10/10 We did a banquet with unilimited sangria and were pretty glot keeping us topped up. The paella was undercooked a bit. Honestly next time I would just get a whole bunch of tapas. Overall a great night!
