Went here for a birthday lunch and had a really lovely experience. The atmosphere by the water was beautiful and surprisingly calm for a Sunday, which made it feel even more relaxing. Definitely ask for a window table if you can. We had oysters, extra prawns, beef tartare, beef tenderloin, broccolini and sourdough, and everything was fresh and delicious. The wines paired really nicely with the meal too. Overall, a great spot for a special lunch or celebration.
Came here for a family Xmas dinner. The waiter was super friendly and helpful. Portion sizes of all dishes were generous. We ordered a grilled chicken kids meal- the size was massive and I believe it is suitable for an adult. Beef tartare and spanner crab as starters. Angus steak and fish of the day (NZ flounder) with a side of fries and salad. All menu items exceeded expectations and were super delicious. Highly recommend the beef tartare!
We recently visited for dinner. The food was excellent, especially the steaks, which were cooked well and full of flavour. The ambiance was also lovely and created a nice setting for an evening meal. But taking a star down because unfortunately, the service didn’t quite match the quality of the food. The wait staff seemed disengaged and were not very attentive throughout the evening. There was little eye contact or interaction, which made the service feel somewhat cold and impersonal. With some additional customer service training and a more engaging approach from the front-of-house team, this place could easily provide an outstanding dining experience to match its excellent food.
My husband and I were here for Mother’s day and my birthday as well, along with our little one for lunch. Atmosphere was pleasant. We were taken to our seats, given menus and some water straightaway. I thought after a few minutes, your server will go back to you to check if you are ready to order but sadly i had to call someone. We ordered their 3 course menu and some starters as well (oysters and prawns). Unfortunately, we did have some problems with the service. It took about 15 minutes roughly for our entrée to arrive but it should be the starters first. After around 5-10mins when the entrée came, our mains came already and sadly, the starters nowhere to be seen. Our table was a chaos because of the food being given without the proper gap times. We ate our mains before the starters and it shouldn’t be this way especially in an award winning restaurant. On a positive note, the foods were fantastic. We enjoyed everything. Our server was lovely as well despite having some issues with our orders. I just hope the communication between the front and back of house will improve in the future.
Our new wave go to place for Sunday lunch. Been here for over 5 times and decided to post now as the meals are thoroughly well seasoned.. They have affordable 1 or 2 course set meals. Great for date nights as well. Great selection of wines!
