The fries could be better by making them more crispy, less dry, or flavourful but other than that, food was great! My friends chatted for 3-4hrs there and all was good. TV not too loud and no one bothered us. Safe space to dine and chill👌
The Mog Champ sends his regards. Looks like GAGE replaced the previous business for the bistro food here but it's still good! Had their food at their Homebush establishment too and it's good quality especially with the price you pay! Their $20 daily meals are top value in this economy.. Especially for pub feeds. Enjoyed the rump steak and everyone else had good opinion of the food too. Thanks for the food GAGE! Mogliest Regards, Your Mog Champ
The only down side was that the lift opens right into the smoko area, but it's avoidable by the laneway entrance. The steak was cooked to perfection. The mushroom 🍄 sauce was creamy and divine! The chips were golden and crunchy, the salads very bit fresh and tasty! Couldn't believe the value I'm getting! 💯 also the window seats provide a unique vantage point for train watching! 🚆 it's a wonderful experience dinning here🍽, would definitely return with guests in the future.
Been here a few times, since then the prices have gone up by a lot, which is kind of disappointing. The food here is very mid, as with some steaks the rareness can be off by a bit. The free drinks from Monday to Friday is a very nice addition, but I was today years old to find out that it’s not available on Public Holidays? I feel like this is false advertising as on the poster which says the free drinks, it doesn’t say anywhere that it’s unavailable on public holidays. Very ok place overall.
I ordered medium-cooked meat, which was raw and bitter from the burn. Paying is a moody and disappointing way to eat.
