Turned up without a booking, and a lovely staff member found us a table and provided amazing service for the three of us throughout the meal. I couldn't decide on a wine and she kindly produced 3 samples for me to try, what great service. The food exceeded our expectations, zucchini flowers, mussels, the ribeye on the bone with a side of caesar salad they couldn't be faulted
Food was excellent, had my first carpetbag steak! Great atmosphere, really buzzing for a Thursday night. Deffo worth being a Panthers fan
A big shout out to Jessica who was serving us tonight, she was very welcoming and superb. Top notch customer service and the food was amazing we are very happy customer and would love to come back again.
Let's be honest, most of the staff are professional. The quality of meats is up there, and I rarely say this but wow the eye fillet, their new York steak, their bone marrow is just 'chapo ba'! The best. This is the 2nd time I have visited and I dunno why they seem to place us in the back corner of the place again lol. No problem but I will be visiting again with others and recommend for anyone looking to enjoy a quality experience.
We ate at OSSO Penrith last night in celebration of a birthday. I researched before booking and thought the menu fitted our taste and price-wise it was inline with what we've paid in the past for a nice fine dining experience in the city. OSSO sells itself as more of a fine dining claiming to serve fresh and top quality ingredients. Unfortunately, it didn't live up to the expectations. The liver pate was just ok, but the texture was off. It was stringy rather than smooth as pate normally would be. For our mains, again, fell very short on expectations. The steak tasted good and was cooked as I requested. However, the sauce on the side was not fresh, it was cold and kind of gloopy like it had been sitting around a little while, also the chimichurri isn't real chimichurri, it looked more like a pea and mint sauce spread across the plate. I actually argued with my partner that the steak didn't come with chimichurri, only when I rechecked the menu I realized that's what it was supposed to be. The steak fries are frozen, not fresh which was also disappointing. My partner ate the ragu which again was packet pasta, the little pieces of meat tasted nice, but again it was far from what we expected for the price we paid. We walked away feeling like our money would have been better spent elsewhere and we'd have had a nicer experience. They have a great website, great photo's but the overall experience and food served doesn't match the advertisement.
