I decided to re-visit this Korean sushi bar, where my uncle used to take us for the giant sushi boat. We sat down at the counter and was greeted by a friendly staff who explained the menu and made some recommendations. We ended up getting a set with udon/tempura/sushi, followed by a large assorted sushi and some gyozas. The food came quickly but was delivered as individual components (not as a set). Overall, the food was alright for their prices and I enjoyed the hot food more than the sushi. I felt that the sushi rice could do with more seasoning. The prawn tempura was perfectly fried but the dipping sauce came much later. The gyoza was actually mandu but they had nice crunchy skins with good fillings, the only issue was that we only got 7 instead of the 8 in the picture. Service-wise, the over-friendliness of the waiting staff felt a bit pushy and everything clicked when I saw the sign to advise customers to finish their meals within 30 minutes.

I wanted to like this place, because the decor is cute and the staff are friendly enough. But the most important part -- the sushi --was really bad. I've honestly had supermarket sushi that tasted better than this. The rice was absolutely awful, which is the key ingredient when it comes to sushi. It's not even proper sushi rice, instead it's crappy tasting long grain rice. The fish wasn't bad, but it wasn't particularly good either.

Best spot in Sydney suburbs for all things Japanese food! Sushi, sashimi, udon, gyoza, and much more. Always a burst of freshness with the complementary lettuce salad and vinaigrette. Food comes out quick and hits the spot every time since I started coming here over 8 years ago. Small restaurant can get busy quickly so leave plenty of time and if you’re with a larger group wait for the dining table at the back. Enjoy!

I have eaten here around 5 times now and the speed of service continues to exceed my expectations. Not your traditional sushi train, sushi and other dishes are made to order. Best dishes are the special roll and tempura prawns. Very good value and friendly staff.

I ordered the Sashi large set, California roll, Eel rice and chicken Terriyaki rice. Our food was prepared in front of us and was very fresh and delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. It was busy when we went for lunch but nonetheless a good experience overall. Recommended if your in the area.
