I’ve walked past this sushi shop countless times whenever I visit Sydney, but never really thought much of it. On this visit, I was craving sushi given this was the closest to me I ordered some takeaway. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality, value, and friendly service. The turnaround time was incredibly fast - by the time I had finished ordering and walked over to collect my food, it was already ready. I wish I discovered this place sooner. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in Sydney in a couple of months time. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fresh, tasty sushi at a great price.

Went to Edomae Sushi in Haymarket for an early dinner. Luckily I got there at 6 so there was no wait, though this place normally queues up a bit. The tablet ordering system is easy to use and the food serving is fast. Unfortunately, the food quality was not up to the usual standard. The fish looked dry and the slices were cut way too thin compared to what I usually get at their Burwood store. I really hope they can change and maintain their quality better in the future.

Foods sushi were very fresh and delicious. Great variety of fresh sushi. Service was excellent. I just find the high chairs a bit too high, otherwise very highly recommended for great quick sushi bite.

I’ve been here a few times before, which is why this experience was so disappointing. When we arrived, we were offered a window seat, but we asked if we could sit at the sushi train. The staff member said she wasn’t sure how long the wait would be, so we agreed to take the window seat. However, almost immediately after we were seated, another family left the sushi train area. I politely asked if we could move, restaurant is not busy as well but the staff member responded with a rude and unkind attitude. Her tone was dismissive, and it felt like a simple request was an inconvenience. It wasn’t just what she said, but how she said it — the lack of friendliness and poor attitude made the whole experience uncomfortable. We’ve had better experiences here in the past, which makes this even more disappointing. Customer service really impacts the overall dining experience, and unfortunately this visit didn’t meet expectations.

It's a very authentic Sushi train restaurant, both from the decor to the food. When we came on Easter evening, we had to wait for 15 mins to get seated. I believe all plates on the train are of the same price and you can order using the tablet in the drawer for other options. The sushi was really fresh and delectable.
