Great convenient location. Whenever I’m in Blacktown, I usually come here for sushi with family . You can get quite full with around $40 per person. The taste is decent, nothing too outstanding, but nothing bad either. Just a small downside: the freshly grilled sushi made to order can take a bit of time.
First time coming here and I actually thought it was pretty good - and far better value than Hero Sushi outlets who have put prices up a lot lately. The food was widely varied, fresh and well presented. Service was business like and not overly friendly however still okay. Was pleasantly surprised with how reasonable the bill was when came time to pay.

I have been a regular customer here, my kids love to come back here again and again due to the variety of sushi options they have and also due to the amazing customer service we receive everytime we come. The staff including the chef are very friendly and always welcoming. The place is clean and the atmosphere is cosy. Having the QR code makes it easy to order. I would like to thank the staff for always welcoming us with smile and being attentive everytime we come. Your great customer service makes a big difference to our experience. I have tried so many different sushi places but this one is our favourite.
While it’s not traditional Japanese cuisine, leaning more towards Korean flavors with Japanese influences… Sushi Maru is still a pretty tasty spot. The fusion approach works well, and the dishes are flavorful and satisfying. If you’re looking for authenticity, it might not hit the mark, but if you’re open to a creative twist on sushi, it’s worth a visit. The produce is fresh, the staff are friendly and accommodating. They are more than happy to prepare fresh if you have concerns using the train!
