The most horrendous sushi I've ever had. Service WITHOUT a smile too. Takeaway sushi shouldn't be served warmer than room temperature .... especially at 5pm. Takeaway sushi shoukd be stored at 5 dwgreees or lower to reduce/minimise food bacteria growth. This sushi is stored under bright hot lights and the fridge don't appear to be ON !! I touched the glass and it was warm. I'd give this place a big swerve and go downstairs to Kana Sushi by Woolworths in Miranda Westfield. Their sushi is the shnizzle dizzle baby !!
The guy who works here is so friendly and nice every single time. I actually haven’t even gotten food today I was just thinking about the guy and how cool he always is — and consistently too.
The bad reviews are lies! I’ve been coming here since this place opened like 10 years ago. I’ve tried the other sushi places but nothing compares. Always soft and fresh. The best soy sauce and yummy ginger. I am always excitedly greeted by the owner. And today after telling him I can no longer get my usual because of my new food sensitivities he was super sympathetic and helpful. Cant believe I haven’t thought to write a review yet! Thank you Sushiya. Best sushi in Miranda😋
My visit to Sushiya left me disappointed. The sushi had an excessive amount of rice, making it hard to enjoy the flavors of the fillings. Speaking of the fillings, they were disappointingly oily, which detracted from the overall experience. To make matters worse, the avocado in some of the rolls had turned an unappetizing black color. I had high hopes for Sushiya, but unfortunately, it was the worst sushi I've ever had.
By far one of the worst sushi shops I have ever been to!!! Usually the customer service I receive when getting sushi is of top quality; unfortunately Sushiya in the Miranda Westfield food court is very far from that. The sushi was old and overpriced to which one of their employees (named Shin) advised that there is no chicken schnitzel in Sydney apparently and that's why the sushi was overpriced (even though schnitzels are made with protein of choice, eggs and bread crumbs - which were all available in the Aldi next to it) her attitude when advising that there is no chicken schnitzel in Sydney was completely abnoxious and atrocious! I felt attacked by her and made me feel very uneasy. Her comments were unnecessary and unwanted as I was commenting on the overpriced nature of the sushi in a private conversation with my father - Shin felt it was alright for her to intrude on our private conversation to give us an explanation that was so obviously a blatant lie. The sushi itself was old tasting and extremely dry - not worth the money or trouble AT ALL. Steer clear from this sushi place guys 😉 Good customer service goes a very long way - Sushiya you have a lot to teach your employees! Get it together and do better =) R.E. store comment: I am gobsmacked and astounded at your ongoing obnoxious behaviour and your ability to blatantly lie - If your sales go down it will be because the level of customer service you provide in store, and continue to provide online, is atrocious and we have the right to complain against this; and because your sushi is overpriced and the one's we got were old and dry - if you look properly at the CCTV footage you will see me trying one and throwing it back in the pack as it was absolutely disgusting! My children were starving and have the right to eat if they want and even then they ate less than half of it! Imagine how bad it was when hungry kids say yeah no more of that...we went passed McDonalds on the way home where we got nice fresh food and very pleasant customer service =) Also - I would be weary as an organisation to state as fact, and in written form, that you are the cheapest sushi store in Sydney (when the other sushi store in the food court sells their sushi cheaper than yours - unfortunately they didn't have any of the only sushi my son eats left or I would have purchased from them) - especially when threatening legal action as this will be included in the lawsuit also. As will your defamation of my character trying to make me look like a racist when I come from a family of people with very heavy accents (confirming the spelling of a name is not a racist action but an honest one; so I that could honestly point the finger at the correct person and not an innocent one). Happy to go ahead if you would like to go through a lawsuit so we can make this all known to an even wider public (especially after this dishonest and unapologetic behaviour - proving the lack of customer service provided yet again and in written from this time [thanks for that extra proof]) - as I know exactly what the CCTV footage will show =) Sushiya (at least the Miranda one) - The worst sushi store I have ever had the displeasure of coming across! If I could give it 0 stars I would! Again - Steer clear from there!
