We had a very unpleasant experience at a Taka sushi in Westfield Miranda food court 23 rd march. After placing our order, the staff member who served us was extremely rude from the start. She handed over our food without any basic courtesy. The set we ordered was quite large, but it only came with one or two soy sauce packets, which was clearly not enough. We politely asked if we could have chopsticks, as we do not eat sushi with our hands. She reacted in a very negative manner and literally threw the chopsticks at us. We then asked if it would be possible to get some extra soy sauce, and whether we needed to pay for it. She responded in an irritated tone, saying, “How many do you need? 20, 30, 100?” When my husband jokingly said “Okay, let’s take 20,” she grabbed a handful of soy sauce packets and threw them at us. At that point, we felt disrespected and uncomfortable, so we asked for a refund. We are honestly shocked by this level of customer service. We did nothing inappropriate — we simply asked for chopsticks and extra soy sauce, which is a very normal request. Throwing items at customers is completely unacceptable and disrespectful. We are sorry if the staff member was going through something difficult in her personal life. However, this does not justify taking out anger or frustration on customers. Respectful behavior should be maintained at all times.

My son’s favourite place! The salmon sashimi and tuna rolls are always fresh and tasty. Great service and very accommodating — they even helped cut the big rolls into smaller pieces for us. Highly recommend!

Very disappointing experience yestarday at Taka Sushi Miranda. The staff member was extremely rude and unprofessional. During a refund, items (soy sauce packets) were thrown onto the counter in an aggressive manner, which made the situation uncomfortable. After reading multiple similar reviews here, it appears this is not an isolated incident. It’s concerning that feedback doesn’t seem to be taken seriously. Given this pattern, I will be raising this with Westfield Miranda management to ensure service standards and food handling practices are properly reviewed. We won’t be returning.

Just ate here. Recipe for food poisoning. Sushi is fine at best, but the flavour is not where it falls short. The food is WARM. Like beyond room temperature. The Westfield establishment was cooler than my sushi. I know for a fact a number of people qho has eaten here recently have contracted food poisoning, and I wouldn't be surprised if I'm now added to this statistic in the next few hours... I already feel sketchy. I regret spending my money here. Health department needs to come by and say hi because this is not safe

Eaten here a few times but the last 2 times I have had food poisoning from the tempura rolls. The first time I thought it might have been a coincidence so haven’t eaten there since but I tried again yesterday and been up all night sick. The roll was warm and I hate to imagine how long it had been sitting like that when I bought it at 4pm. Never again unfortunately
