Burgers, pizza, manouch, kebabs, fish and chips to name just a few items available on the hot food menu of this takeaway store that is well known by the locals. Home made tartare sauce is served with the large pieces of freshly battered fish cocktails, which were delicious. Open from 8am to 8pm, I recommend checking this place out for yourself if you are in the local area.
Hands down one of the best takeaway shops I’ve been to. The service is consistently outstanding, and the food is always fresh and delicious. Even with a family of very fussy eaters, it’s one place that everyone genuinely enjoys. Highly recommend for both quality food and excellent customer service.
My new go to place for the best burgers old school Aussie style as well as new. The young lady that served me was very nice to talk to & the new shop layout is spacious.
Bernie’s had been a household name when I was a very young preteen growing up locally, it was somewhere my parents came a lot for Friday night dinners and weekend family gatherings. Both my parents have since passed, and it has been almost a decade since I’ve been back. My husband had mentioned Bernies, saying there’s a takeaway joint down the road we should try. (He’s from QLD, so I realised the relevance of Bernie’s to my family was beyond him). The FOOD is so fresh. The service was quick and timely, and the customer service at the counter was second to none. Bernie’s is such a nostalgic memory for me, and I’m grateful I’m able to enjoy it once again, now with my husband and 3 children.
I don't come here much as I don't live in the area. But this place is my go to for my fish and chips craving. I can honestly say it's amazing. I would love for them to give a bigger container for the tartare sauce as the amount that you get is not enough for all the good food I'm eating. That's my only bad opinion other than that. I would recommend this to anyone who hasn't tried this place. You won't regret it! ☺️
