This place is always busy with locals and there is a reason why. Each dish looks fresh, bright and well cooked and quite well priced. There is a good quantity of meat per dish and the waiters do not go out of their way to deceive you when picking the dishes like Hong Kong Delight. It is evident there is integrity in their cooking here.
The food is amazing! My favourite dish is the cold noodle bowl with sesame dressing! The service is just average, but I love the food! It is a very popular (food court) based restaurant in Hurstville train station. The food is always fresh! And tasty!
Cho Express/ Taste of Taiwan serves delicious Taiwanese food. You can choose 2 or 3 choices of savoury dishes with rice. I’d recommend Taiwanese fried chicken, eggplants, caramelised fishes, and tofu with veggies. Add a drink for extra $2 with your meal. Otherwise just go with the set menu on the board. Service is super quick and efficient I find this branch of Cho Express better than the one inside Westfield.
My regular place for quick lunch fix. One of the best Taiwanese bento around in Sydney they have two other outlet in haymarket and one in hurstville the dishes here reminded me of home very homely feel and taste. I always order their sweet and vinegar spare ribs, taiwanese fried chicken, prawn omelette, three cups chicken, and mapo tofu with rice. If you add $2 u can add a drink ( Ice red tea, green tea or winter melon). Good value bento and homely dishes.
As long-time customers of Cho Express since 2014, we often make our food purchases from the Westfield Hurstville branch. My usual order for takeaway is the green beans, pork ribs and the crispy, fried chicken with rice. However, lately, I am noticing a reduced portion of the food to ratio, smaller than what we used to get. Three pieces of chicken, really?
