First of all, The owner here is so nice - always has a smile on ☺️ and says Thank you! Second, the fish portion is great. Juicy and well flavour, so you can tell it’s quite fresh 🐟 Portion and taste for salad is good too (only $16 for grilled barramundi and salad combo)! Also, they have a variety of burgers to choose from - the beef burger tastes very balance and value for price only $7.50!! I appreciated the fact that my side order of calamari and chips were cooked well (not burned and dry like some other places). Definitely will visit again soon - a local gem for the inner city region. P.s: Visit again and dine in with fish and chips on plates with cutleries was nice after such a long time since Covid. They take card payments with no surcharges is a big plus for this local business. Highly recommended!

Delicious no fuss fish and chips, and it’s good every time! Erskineville Fish & Chips & Takeaway is a classic restaurant, it’s an institution, and there’s a reason why! With juicy fish, crispy chips, great sides and burgers all at an incredibly affordable price what more could you possibly want?

Nothing in this place is fresh. Fish, calamari rings were frozen straight to the fryer that looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. Fish flesh was mushy, meaning OLD!!! The dim sims were microwaved and then fried. Chips were lifeless. Even the lemons wasn’t fresh. Go down the road to Alexandria Fish and Chips on Mitchell road.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Erskineville Fish and Chips is a true local gem. The owner is genuinely one of the kindest people you’ll meet, always welcoming, friendly, and clearly passionate about what they do. The warm service makes every visit a pleasure. The prices are some of the best around for the quality and generous portions. The food is always fresh, perfectly cooked, and exactly what you want from a classic fish and chip shop. Crispy chips, great fish, and consistently delicious. Amazing value, great food, and heartfelt service, highly recommended.

Great local fish and chips shop. Excellent value, incredibly friendly service, and great classic tasting fish and chips. Be prepared for a slight wait during peak times but that gives you the opportunity for a short walk to explore the other local shops.
