I wanted to love the food from here more than I did. It is a cute little restaurant. Service is great as the team are so polite and helpful. The location is great for a small neighbourhood restaurant. The prices are a little high…but comparable for where they are located. My friends had the mussels and they complained that they were bland. I opted for the fish and chips as I was curious to see how they stacked up against the fish from Costis in the west. Unfortunately, they didn’t. We had the snapper and the flathead and they both tasted like the oil they were fried in with no real difference. The chips tasted the same. Even an hour after our meal, we still have the oil taste that has become normal when having fish and chips. I was disappointed and wish I wasn’t.

I ordered from Paddington Fish and Chips through Uber Eats delivery as it is my last night in sydney and need to pack. I ordered simple - fish and chips. I did not see where I could order ketchup or tarter sauce so asked for it to be included in the note. My delivery guy was very nice and prompt. I opened my food to find 4...FOUR tarter sauces, 1 ketchup and loads of French fries. Guess what I didnt find?? There was absolutely no fish in the box! But you know what else I found? A note stating "Next time you can pay for the extra sauces. ❤️ P.F.C" I paid 30 bucks for chips, ketchup and tarter sauce. Worst experience and your tarter sauce is disgusting

It had been a while since having Fish & Chips in the Paddington area, so it was quite exciting to see a local restaurant open up Was perfect summer Friday balmy evening weather dinner. We had our dog out in the outside dining tables and the staff were very accommodating of it. The food was excellent, the thick chips were hot, fresh & tasty. The octopus & squid components weren't greasy, and as someone who's a bit spooked by strong fishy flavours of some seafoods I really enjoyed the swordfish and how fresh & soft it was. They won over a non seafood fan with some seafood that wasn't just my boring staple of the battered fish (which was also excellent, as was the Schnitzeld fish burger) I didn't leave with the grease sweats as I often do from fish & chips so I will definitely be making a return visit

Yumm! Delicious! Everything was 10/10. Tasted fresh as. Done really well. I'm not normally a fish lover but nothing was super fishy for me. The charred octopus was amazing 👌👌👌 great service and staff. Thank you

I don’t know if this place has a new owner. Because in the past it was good. But tonight the fish was tiny and under cooked with skin on so made it chewy and not pleasant. The chips are good. But seriously for $62. 00. For 2 people and bad fish. Not sure chips are worth that much!!! NOT GOOD PEOPLE.
