Excellent meal and attentive service — we left extremely satisfied. Highly recommended for authentic Thai food in a warm, welcoming setting.
The customer service is like visiting family or a valued old friend - warm, honest, and genuine. Have you ever experienced a restaurant where the head chef instructs the front-of-house to inform the patron that they have ordered too much? Not surprisingly, the caring head chef was right on the money with the quantity of food we ordered. We thought we had experienced some pretty good Thai food. However, after experiencing Chedi Thai, we concur with the scores of regular diners who recognise Chedi Thai as the best Thai restaurant in the North Sydney, Milson's Point and Kirribilli neighbourhoods on the Lower North Shore. It was a truly special experience. “Kop Khun Krub” (ขอบคุณครับ)…thank you.
I was just relieved to find a late night dinner option in North Sydney, but when I got there to collect my takeaway I was delighted by the friendly staff. And when I tasted the curry (chicken Penang), I was very happy. Super tasty - would recommend.
I stopped by for lunch and I ordered Chilli Basil Fried Rice Vegetarian. I must say it’s a wonderful place to have your lunch/dinner. Fine dining, great ambience, parking at front, great customer service and the owner, Greg himself interacts with customers. Their chefs are very well trained and known to produce great dishes that fill your appetite.
Note I am writing this on my friends’ behalf for anonymity. Friends who visited recently had a very uncomfortable experience with the host/owner making racial comments ruining their experience. Other reviews note similar experiences with white customers getting different or better treatment than people of colour. This is unacceptable and this restaurant is worthy of a much lower rating. My friends were paying a premium to dine in at this restaurant and did not expect such treatment in 2026.
