Came here for lunch today, while I did a bit of shopping at Market City shopping centre just opposite this place. This Thai restaurant has a very nice decor, lovely seating area and great service. Their menu has a wide selection of dishes to choose from. I had the Pad see ew with beef, which came in 10 mins, so quick and efficient. This dish was very tasty and you scan the QR code on the table to order, then you pay at the counter, just before you leave. Located in Haymarket, I parked in Wattle street, opposite UTS, which has 1hr free street parking from 10am - 3pm. That’s a gem and plenty of time to get everything done. Highly recommend if you love Thai food.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This place brings back so many memories from when I first came to Sydney 8 years ago. Eating here really makes me feel home. The tom yum noodles here are honestly the best rich, perfectly balanced, and satisfyingly spicy. Every bite is full of flavor and comfort. For me, no other place compares when it comes to authentic tom yum noodles. This is the only spot I keep coming back to!
Renewed my acquaintance with this original (the branch in Hornsby is good too). Turned out my daughter had also discovered this gem on her own so now 2 generations love the food here. She likes it cause she can dial down the heat. I enjoy it cause of the authenticity of their à la carte menu. Now you order using a QR code and staff came to check if exclusions were due to allergy or personal preferences. Well done! Personally, I found the noodle broth flavoursome but on the sweet side so best to add less sweet when placing the order. The Issan sausage with raw vegetables and pickled red chili was so delicious. It wasn’t greasy and the smoky charred skin brought each bite to another level. The slightly sourish taste of the fermented meat is unusual in a nice way. Yum. The spicy salmon tartare with three rectangular wedges of deep fried noodles as crackers was not only creative but so crunchy it made a wonderful contrast to the soft and tender bits of salmon. When you layer on the raw Napa cabbage, onions and dried chili, the combination is sublime. Needless to say it tastes better eaten with your hands (there’s a spoon to ladle the tartare on the crackers or raw vegetables). Early dinner meant more choices for seating and no need to share tables. The crowd picked up from 6.45pm.
Very average quality Thai food. I came here a few years ago and it used to be good back then. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment this time. Pad-sew was flavour less and
Been here more than 5 times already, and I often get this soup and Thai omelette combo. Such a perfect pair this winter - simple but hearty. They were also very welcoming when I asked more about the dish I ordered.
