We were amazed by how spacious this place is. There's plenty of indoor seating, plus an outdoor area that's perfect during summer. As soon as we walked in, the decor, lively atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel like we were in the heart of Bangkok. We were seated by the window, which was a great spot to enjoy the street views while dining. We started with the Thai sausage and the mixed entrée platter. Both were packed with flavour and a great way to kick off the meal. For mains, we ordered the duck curry and Pad Thai. The duck curry was the standout—rich, creamy and full of flavour, with tender duck that melted in every bite. It's definitely a must-try. The Pad Thai was equally satisfying, with a perfect balance of sweet, sour and savoury flavours. The noodles had a great texture, soft yet still firm. Best of all, it's available on their late-night menu, so you can enjoy it anytime. We paired our meal with a fresh fruit juice and lemongrass tea, then finished with the mango sticky rice, which was the perfect sweet ending. If you're looking for a Thai spot that combines a café, restaurant and bar with a late-night menu, this place is well worth a visit. Highly recommended!
Honestly, I should’ve come sooner. The atmosphere is super chill, and the location right next to the Haymarket tram stop makes it really convenient. The Thai flavours were spot on. The Stir Fried Blue Swimmer Crab in egg curry sauce was incredibly delicious, and the Pad Kee Mao had the perfect spicy, peppery kick. We also loved the crispy entrees and the fresh made-to-order smoothies. Bonus points for their late-night menu available Monday to Thursday until 2 am. Such a great spot for late-night Thai food in Sydney CBD. 🙌🏻
✨Fat Thaiger on the south end of George Street is a CBD gem. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us warmly and seated us at a great table near the kitchen, where we loved watching the chefs work their magic.🥹 The vibe is vibrant, colourful, and totally unique. Fat Thaiger offers a cafe, restaurant, and bar all under one roof, making it a true 3-in-1 entertainment hub. We really loved the new "Late Night" menu (Mon–Thu, 10pm–2am)—it's everything you want for late-night cravings. The dishes were hot, fresh, and packed with flavour. We ordered the Pad See Ew, and it was so delicious—you can really taste the care, freshness, and authenticity in every bite. The service was efficient and attentive, making the whole experience even better. We also ordered entrees, mains, drinks & dessert: Entree: 🍢 Satay Chicken - (4 Skewers, served with peanut sauce) 🥘 Curry Puff - sweet potato, corn, carrot, pea, curry powder Main: 🦆 Duck Salad - topped with coconut cream, lime chilli dressing, mixed salad, red onion, spring onion, tomato, and mint 🇹🇭 Pad See Ew - stir-fried flat rice noodle with egg and Chinese broccoli Drinks: 🍹 Fresh Watermelon Mojito - very refreshing, the perfect thirst quencher! 🧋 Thai Iced Milk Tea - one of the best we've tasted, the presentation is exceptional and even comes with whipped cream and sprinkles on top, we were shocked at how tall the glass was! Dessert: 🥭 Mango Sticky Rice - fresh, authentic, and we couldn't stop eating it ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We highly recommend you visit ASAP if you're looking to get your Thai food cravings satisfied.
Best Thai food in Sydney. I got their fried tofu that comes with an insaneee peanut sauce. It’s spiced, perfectly savory and a just a little sweet. The Tom Yum Soup was incredible though. It has so many fresh flavors/ingredients. You can see the fresh ginger and vegetables in the soup, it’s fragrant and just the right amount of spice. I only got take-away but the atmosphere is also very whimsical, so would be great for an evening dinner r
Dropped in for Saturday lunch. Place was fairly quiet with maybe 7 other tables occupied, it is a large space. Open kitchen along one wall and a well stocked bar, coffee cake selection on the other. The places had multiple personalities, is it; a restaurant, late night bar, cafe and coffee spot or grab a coffee to go? Staff were very polite and welcoming. Menu was extensive without being overwhelming, lunch servings offer nice discount. However the they did forget my order and only remembered when my body language and looking around at all of them sparked them into action. The good was generous in portion size. Flavors are fresh and tasty. Ask the dishes ordered were thoroughly enjoyed. Price wise it was around $65 for the lot. No complaints, not sure I will come back, might keep exploring. I can recommend good location, staff and food, just keep an eye on your order.
