This was the first time in have eaten here, the food is not expensive for lunch, but what could have been a good experience was let down through a language barrier. We asked for no rice or onion with the meal. The rice was no problem although a waste of food, it was left uneaten. The onion was a problem due to being a FODMAP. The Chicken pad Thai was very different from what I'm used to, it lacked any green or peanuts, I also like the thick rice flat noodles which most places can accommodate, but not here. There noodles tasted more like supermarket make at home than restaurant fresh. I paid full price, politely raised my concerns and left never to return.
Really great place. We enjoyed the food and service was quick and outstanding.
Went here for my brother's birthday lunch. Restaurant was pretty much empty, so we got a table straight away. The Lunch special menu was cheap, which was a nice surprise! Food though was extremely average. None of us said that we would return. My vegetables with cashew nuts dish was filled with pineapple, which made the sauce super sweet. My daughter had the Thai fried rice with beef, she said the beef tasted funny and was vomiting an hour later.
Food reasonably good for the lunch special price, however can’t seem to expect great deal from customer service. One new staff member took my friends order as I was waiting for her to take mine she then walked off to another table to take the order from another customer, when I pointed it out to her with no apology and a annoyed look on her face then took my order. Good place for cheap meal if you don’t mind not great customer service.
Ordered take away, it was very busy. My order was wrong. Contacted the restaurant to advise. I ordered chilli basil stir fry made spicy, what I got I thought was chicken & oyster sauce - it was so bland. Ordered hokkein noodles, got a dish with rice. Both tasted the same. I didn't ask for a refund or replacement, I rang to let them know as I thought someone else got my order. The response wasn't good, she said it was chilli basil and they make it mild. But I asked for spicy? The hokkein noodles? Silence. So two dishes in the bin. The mixed entree and penang curry were ok. Maybe it's better dine in.
