I just ordered Uber because my family were just there for dinner dine-in and they couldn't stop talking about how good it was. Ordered Special XO Fried Rice with prawns. Arrived within 10 minutes of ordering, piping hot and incredibly flavourful and delicious. Thank you & shout out to my uber-biker Yuki!!
My first visit inside Marko's Restaurant on 29/01/26 while visiting Sydney from Brisbane. On entering early evening it appeared very quiet, however after ordering my meal served approx.15 min's later. Food average in taste & portion size good & followed by a soft drink. Paid in total AUD $26.50 by cash.
We ordered the laksa, pad Thai and the kra pao moo krob. The laksa could’ve used more flavour and greens. If you get the egg noodles it kinda just looks like instant ramen. The pad Thai was flavourful and a large portion. I must say it was quite yummy and I do recommend. now.. NOW.. the kra pao moo krob IT WAS HEAVENLY. It has this sweet, savory glaze that tasted slightly charred along with some vegetables. We LOVED it, maybe if there was more it would’ve been a little bit better but I definitely recommend. ✨🤤 Now you may see how most of the reviews are either 1 or 5 stars. I honestly think it’s because it’s the soup or soup noodles so I recommend not getting those but some kra pao moo krob for the best dining experience 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏻
Their Thai food awakens the taste buds and warms our bellies after sightseeing, especially when escaping from the pouring rain outside. If you can't handle spicy food, ask the chef to make it less spicy. Vermicelli salad and Boat noodles are highly recommended, and their Thai tea is also worth a try.
Im a student who studies just above the restaurant and have been eating at Marco’s almost every lunchtime during my classes, as it is very convenient for me being the nearest restaurant. I understand that the owner of the restaurant also owns the college upstairs, which initially gave me confidence in the establishment. And also give us a free drink every meal we order but no student discounts. However, over time I have experienced several ongoing issues. On multiple occasions, I have been served undercooked Chinese broccoli, both in the fried rice and the stir-fried pork. The crispy pork is often extremely hard to bite, which suggests it may be overcooked or possibly reheated from a previous service. Only a few times have I received pork that was tender and enjoyable. The fried chicken is also consistently very dry. The portioning of the fried rice is inconsistent, with noticeable differences from one visit to another. Orders are frequently forgotten, and I have had to wait 15–20 minutes for a simple stir-fried pork with steamed rice, even when ordering first in line. The sauce and portion size of the stir-fried pork are also inconsistent—sometimes there is an adequate amount, and other times there is very little. Now in 2026, prices have increased while portions have noticeably decreased. On my most recent visit, I ordered my usual dish and it was not even served hot. A customer seated beside me ordered the same dish and could only eat a few pieces, as the pork was extremely hard, dry, and difficult to chew. Despite these repeated experiences, I often felt compelled to finish my meals simply because the restaurant was nearby and I was very hungry, sometimes having skipped both dinner and breakfast. However, considering the overall quality of the food, the inconsistency, and the price, I have decided that I will no longer dine at this restaurant.
