Have been to Thai Nine three times now, once for dinner & twice for lunch. The restaurant has a fabulous atmosphere with lots of window seats. The fresh rolls and chicken satay are beautiful, we followed up with the turmeric dory & yellow chicken curry, both were melt in the mouth, portions are super generous and a big plus is the BYO wine. Bam & Ice are fantastic hosts that really make you feel welcome. I cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.
Great atmosphere for a Friday dinner at Thai Nine! A lot of people brought their own wine. We had the Mieng Scallops, they were very light but full of flavours, definitely a great appetiser to start the meal. We also had Hoy Jor, loved the crunchiness of them and quite a generous portion of crab meat. We then had Crackling Fish, the John Dory fillets were so fresh alongside the pork crackling, very interesting combo! Coco prawn in green curry is quite spicy for my liking and rather expensive for such portion. However, overall it was an amazing experience.
We were a group of 10 on a busy Friday night. The food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. And it’s BYO. Great value. Highly recommend.
Hard to justify the price for what it is. $105 Uber Eats order. Took 1 hour to arrive. Was cold. Portions were tiny. Bits of soggy, old spinach leaves. No dressing for the satay skewers. Never again.
The prawn coconut curry - $49 was very mild, lacking flavour. The entree scallops on beetle leaf must've been through Shrinkflation - it's no longer the size it used to be ... were the scallops halved?!! The other dishes were also well presented but unremarkable and forgettable yet way over priced ... must be catering to the taste of Mozmanites and the Lower North Shore. We won't be back for any more Mozmhai dining!!
