My partner had been talking up Thai Tip for ages, so I was very pleased to finally make it there… and yes, they were absolutely right. This place is such a gem. The food is fresh, full of flavour, and you can really taste that it’s made on the premises with care. Everything felt vibrant, generous and properly delicious. Tip, who served us, was an absolute delight and has the loveliest energy. You know when someone just makes you feel instantly welcome? That. And the beetel leaves? Obsessed. Easily my favourite in Sydney. I’d go back for those alone, but luckily everything else was beautiful too. Safe to say Thai Tip has officially become my go-to Thai spot in Newtown. Cute, delicious, warm, and very worth listening to your partner about for once. Ha!
Yummy food. Great service. We had the Soft Shell Crab entree which was crispy and succulent! The Salmon Choo-Chee, which was delicious! And the Chicken Pad Kee Mao (fat noodles). Recommend! One thing it does need, is a fan, as it was a 30° hot day!
Amazing Thai food! Staff were lovely and accommodating considering how busy it was. Great portions for a reasonable price. Will definitely be back!

I recently visited this restaurant and was honestly blown away by how good everything was. The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The side dishes complemented the main course so well, especially the roasted vegetables which had the perfect balance of sweetness and smokiness. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive without being intrusive, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere was cozy and relaxing, with soft lighting and calm background music. It’s definitely the kind of place where you can unwind after a long day or enjoy a nice dinner date. Overall, I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates good food and good vibes.
