We visited on a cold day, and Thai food was exactly what we were craving. Everything we ordered was delicious, and there honestly wasn't a single miss. Our favourites were the Garlic & Pepper Soft Shell Crab, which was perfectly crispy and packed with flavour, and the Pla Rad Prik with its crispy fish and tangy, spicy sauce. The Pad Thai Chicken was well-balanced and satisfying, the Thai-style coffee was a great drink to pair with the meal, and we finished with the Tokyo Pancake for dessert. The menu also has plenty of Thai street food favourites, so we'll definitely be back to try more. If you're looking for a reliable Thai restaurant with tasty food and a good variety of dishes, I'd happily recommend THANON KHAOSAN.

I thought the food at Thanon Khaosan was tasty. I ordered the rad na mee krob with pork. The serving was so generous and the one meal could easily have been shared between two. The food was made fresh to order and came out nice and hot. The noodles were crunchy in some parts but also slippery and saucy in others. This made for a good textural feel. My friend ordered the pad thai with duck. It was also cooked well and delicious. It was served with fresh bean sprouts, crushed peanuts and garlic chives. Again the chef was well aware if different textural elements and it all ate well together.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I recently visited this restaurant and had a really pleasant experience overall. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying a quiet meal. The food was definitely the highlight. I ordered a beef curry served with flatbread, and the flavors were rich and comforting. The flatbread was freshly made, slightly crispy on the outside and soft inside, which paired really well with the curry. I also tried the pineapple fried rice, which was nicely balanced between sweet and savory. The tom yum seafood soup was flavorful with a nice tangy kick, and the seafood tasted fresh. The portion size was generous, so it’s good value for money. Service was friendly and efficient, and the staff were welcoming. Overall, I’d definitely come back again and would recommend this place to others.

I had such a fun night out catching up with my favorite foodie friend at Thanon Khaosan in Haymarket! The moment you step off the street, you are instantly transported straight into a bustling Bangkok night market. The rustic street-market aesthetic—complete with exposed brick, mismatched wood paneling, and unique hanging birdcages—creates a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere that is perfect for a casual dinner date. The service was fast and friendly, making the entire dining experience feel incredibly welcoming and lively. The food here is pure comfort food perfection and packed with authentic flavors. We ordered the grilled pork skewers, which were beautifully marinated and incredibly juicy, along with crispy fish cakes and a perfectly smoky, savory Pad See Ew. For drinks, we treated ourselves to some refreshing cocktails that paired beautifully with the meal.

I ordered the stew chicken with bitter melon soup. The overall taste was okay quite light and slightly bitter, which is expected from bitter melon. It’s a comforting dish if you enjoy this kind of flavour, but it might not suit everyone. The chicken itself was decent, but the chicken feet were a bit dry and not as tender as I expected. I think the texture could be improved to make the dish more enjoyable. Portion size was reasonable, and the presentation was simple. Overall, it was an average experienced nothing bad, but there’s definitely room for improvement, especially in terms of texture and flavour balance.
