I thought the price and taste were reasonable, but I don’t plan to revisit here. Overall, the food was okay, but the billing system for lunch special and communication were not very clear, which made the experience frustrating. The older lady who seemed to be the owner was also quite unfriendly when I asked about the pricing. When ordering, I was told there would be no extra charge for changing rice to noodles. However, I was initially asked to pay $18 for Tom Yum Goong ($15) with extra noodles ($3). After I questioned it, the price was changed to $17.50 for the lunch special seafood option, as prawns were considered part of “seafood.” I was confused because Tom Yum Goong and Tom Yum Seafood were listed as separate menu items, and the explanation was not clear at first. When I questioned it, the owner asked if I still wanted to pay $18. It wasn’t even an extra noodle charge, it was just a swap from rice to noodles as part of the meal. So whether you choose rice or noodles, it would have been better to avoid the lunch special altogether and just order the $15 Tom Yum Goong instead.
Its very busy as its very cheap. Cash only. The lunch special between 11 amd 4pm is only $11.50 a dish on the entire menu minus the duck or seafood dishes. The chicken wings are excellent for only $2. On the negatives, Theres a lot of flies on a hot day and the lady at the counter assume the boss or manager is only pleasant to her regulars, and otherwise very unfriendly, dont expect much as its a decent feed for what you pay.
Bustling spot for a late weekday lunch (always a good sign). I got the eggplant stir fry with chicken as a a takeaway. Over half the container was rice and I would have liked a little more stir fry, but for the price, speed, and quality it was excellent. The sauce was light and the food was very fresh. The staff was friendly and I would go again. (Cash or bank transfer only.)
Was my top restaurant to go to and recommend. But now the quality and portion of the food dropped alot. Service lady was really rude. When it came to pay the bill over the counter, got charged on something that we did not ordered plus had missing item from take away order.😔
Delicious Thai food at very reasonable prices. While the portions are smaller than those at other restaurants, it’s a great excuse to try more dishes. Some items were slightly salty, but overall, I’ll definitely return. Note: This is a cash-only establishment.
