If you’re hunting for authentic late night Turkish food in Sydney’s south, this place in Kogarah is the real deal. I’ve been coming here weekly for a while now and it never disappoints. The doner kebab is consistently excellent - proper slow-roasted meat, fresh bread, and house-made sauces that taste like they’ve been passed down through generations. Nothing like the rushed, mass-produced kebabs you get elsewhere. This is Istanbul-style done right. What keeps me coming back isn’t just the food it’s the atmosphere. It feels genuinely homely and authentic, the kind of place where the staff know their regulars and actually care about what comes out of the kitchen. Late night in Sydney can be a minefield of overpriced, underwhelming options, but this spot delivers every single time. If you’re after late night Turkish in Sydney’s south, after a big night out, post-sport, or just need a proper feed past midnight, this is your place. Easily the best kebab in the Kogarah area.

Tried the chicken snack pack takeaway and it was definitely worth it! The portion was generous, the chicken was tasty, and everything was fresh and well made. What made the experience even better was the staff member who clearly put effort into making the food look and taste nice. Really friendly service and great attention to detail. Will definitely be coming back!

Istanbul Grill is a great local eatery! Had an amazing snack pack—flavourful, generous, and definitely hit the spot. Open till 11pm, which is perfect for a late bite. The customer service was excellent, shoutout to Yasha for the warm hospitality. The place was cozy and inviting, with plenty of drink options and affordable prices. A nice surprise: they even brought out fresh oranges as a refreshing treat. Highly recommend trying the snack pack! Plenty of street parking. Short Walk from Kogarah station.

I had a very disappointing experience ordering from Istanbul Grill. The Mixed HSP was one of the worst I've had. The taste was poor, the meat didn't seem fresh, and the food was very dry because there was almost no sauce included. An HSP without enough sauce is not enjoyable at all. The portion was not worth the price, and the overall quality was far below my expectations. I definitely would not order again and cannot recommend this restaurant. They really need to improve the freshness, flavour, and make sure they include enough sauce with their Mixed HSP.
