Tried under the new management - .. got myself a mixed snack pack, chips had an old oil taste kinda fishy, beef and chicken wasn’t fresh either. Got a tabouli also pretty much tastes like the one from Cole’s to be honest .. very dissatisfied and disappointed unfortunately. Service wasn’t good either.. asked me 3 times what I wanted because everytime he asked he just walked off speaking in another language .. Used to be the best kebab shop in Parra :( RIP to the OG Istanbul :(
They’re undergoing renovations at the moment and it’s already looking a lot better. The new management has the kitchen looking FAR cleaner than the previous people. The Adana is incredible and so was everything else on the plate. Can’t wait to see where they go from here.
Used to be a regular here and came every Friday lunch because this was honestly one of the best kebab shops in Parramatta. Sadly, after the new management took over, the quality and service have gone downhill badly. Today’s experience was really disappointing. The tall guy taking orders barely understood what I was saying and eventually just handed me a paper to write my order down instead. There was basically no customer service at all. The food was off too. The kebab bread tasted like pizza base, and in the last few weeks they’ve already changed the bread multiple times. Every visit tastes different and somehow worse than before. The meat didn’t taste fresh and the chips had an old oil taste. It’s honestly sad seeing such a good place turn into this. The old Istanbul Kebab in Parra used to be amazing, but the new management just isn’t it anymore.
When the dish came out I was disappointed. That's not Turkish bread I said but then I tasted it. The bread was fresh and warm, the chicken flavourful, the portions generous. I'm not sure if it's Turkish since Lahmacun and pide are very different and yet sold as the same here, but it tastes good!
shit customer service. Ordered $60 worth of food for my family on uber eats from this place, and he gave the wrong order. called the restaurant and said id send a picture to prove it. The guy said bring it in store I don’t believe you then hung up. So wasted 30mins of my time because I had to go exchange it. Went to the store and the guy gave me a new one, but wasted my time, had an aggressive tone and scammed my delivery fee. Couldn’t even offer a can of coke as an apology.
