Saturday mornings at my regular spot when I'm in Burwood, Sahara in Burwood, never disappoint! 🍳☕ ​Took a friend for their incredible Turkish breakfast (seriously, look at this spread!), but we got a little more than just great food this time around. ​I was admiring their wall of fame—they’ve got photos of the owner with everyone from Anthony Albanese to former Prime Ministers. The owner noticed me looking at the pictures and casually dropped, “Well, one of them is actually sitting right over there.” ​Turns out the Mayor of Burwood was just enjoying his morning breakkie too! The owner kindly introduced us, and we had a great little chitchat. ​Amazing food, cool atmosphere, and you genuinely never know who you’re going to bump into. Highly recommend checking this place out if you haven't already! 🥙✨ ​

Went for a work dinner and I absolutely loved the food and atmosphere! Staff are so friendly and welcoming. I thought the menu was a little pricey but it’s reflective of the top quality and serving sizes. The fact that they allow split bills is something unique as rarely this is allowed these days! The guy sorting the bill (27 March 26) was above and beyond with his friendly demeanour, highly recommended ❤️

We are extremely disappointed with our recent order. We are loyal regular customers, We did not expect such a poor experience. We spent over around 200$ on this order, and honestly, it was one of the worst we ever had. The portions were shockingly small, most of the food had spilled all through the bag, and the pide was completely overcooked, dry, and barely enjoyable. The quality and presentation were far below the standard we are used to from this restaurant.

This place deserves more than a 4.3. Everyone makes recommendations when asked about good Turkish food, but I never heard anyone mention Sahara, and that's a big loss. I will definitely visit more often and recommend it to everyone.

Great place for authentic delicious Turkish food. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Place was nicely lit and spacious. Ordered their lamb cutlets. The lamb was tender, juicy, fatty and perfectly charred. Love the bread soaked with lamb juice sitting on the bottom of the dish. Also the fresh vegetables really complimented the lamb.
