This is one of the best vegetarian restaurants I've ever tried. The food is flavorful and not bland at all, plus the prices are very reasonable. I’ll definitely be back to try more dishes!
We’ve been to this restaurant a couple of times before, and my previous experiences were good, which is why this visit was so disappointing. When we arrived last Saturday, the owner greeted us, wiped our table, and gave us the menu. Everything started off well. As I don’t speak Vietnamese, I ordered in English with one of the female staff member (the one with pony tail) While placing my order, I realised I had chosen the wrong dish and immediately, before the order was processed, politely asked if I could change it. Her attitude changed instantly. She spoke to me in a rude tone, looked annoyed, and made a dismissive facial expression. I then explained that I couldn’t speak Vietnamese and politely asked if someone who spoke English could help take our order instead. Instead of trying to help, she took the menu away from our table, which made us feel as though we were being asked to leave. The owner then came over, and I explained that I was unhappy with the staff member’s attitude. I completely understand that not everyone speaks English, and that’s absolutely fine. However, a language barrier should never be an excuse for treating customers disrespectfully. A smile, patience, and a willingness to help go a long way. It’s unfortunate because we’ve enjoyed dining here in the past, but this experience left us feeling unwelcome and very disappointed. We hope the restaurant takes this feedback seriously, as good customer service is just as important as good food.
I believe they have the best vegan pho and banh mi chay in Sydney. Some days the pho here is 10/10 other days it's 8/10 (still better than anywhere else). My favourite restaurant, I've been a regular for over 6 years. I've tried all vegan spots in Cabramatta, Bankstown, a few in Newtown and the CBD. LOVE THIS RESTAURANT BECAUSE: - Family-owned - Many of the meat substitutes are made in-house, so the ingredients are healthy - They don't just replace everything with mock meat, but will use a vegetable if it's better e.g., the pho's beef tendon (pho gan) is subbed for white radish. BEST DISHES: - Vegan Pho - Vegan Bun Ca Thi La (get this dish takeaway). - Vegan Com Tam Bi Suong Cha - Vegan Banh Hoi Bo La Lot or Banh Hoi Heo Quay (get a few takeaway for a dinner party with friends) - Vegan Banh Mi Thit - Vegan Bun Rieu - Vegetarian or vegan Mi Kho Xa Xiu (depends if egg noodle is chosen) - Vegan Banh Cuon Cha Lua - Vegan Bo Kho with Hieu Tieu Dai noodle (best noodle choice)
Pretttty good - got the char siu and banh cuon, which were both winners! Their ‘fake meats’ taste a lot better than most other vegetarian places I’ve tried. It doesn’t have that kinda ‘plasticy’ flavour others have. Would definitely add to the rotation
Needed to find a place for quick lunch and was very happy with the food from here. I had a beef noodle soup which was exceptionally delicious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very cheap prices too. Only reason for a star deducted was that it's an exclusively cash-only business which in this current financial world is a huge inconvenience.
