After 7 long years I visited Sydney from the US for catching up with a friend for dinner and he wanted me to take thalaivaa’s. I must say this place is so authentic and serves one of the best Tamil South Indian vegetarian food. The owner who spoke to us in Tamil was very warm and friendly, outstanding customer service. The restaurant is quite new is what he told and the establishment was opened 5 months ago. Right from the word go, the dishes we ordered were all fresh and so authentic. They serve Kerala style dishes also, I ordered idiyappam and kadala curry, it was mind blowing and piping out with delicious kadala curry. Next one was onion tomato uthappam, lip smacking, chutney’s were so fresh. Sambar was too good. Then we ordered mini idly dipped with sambar and medu vadai dipped with sambar. I have no words to say more and express my happiness to have found such a humble owner who is striving hard to provide authentic and fresh food to the community. Highly recommend this place if you’re a food lover. It’s in an excellent location with great ambiance. Also don’t forget to taste their paan balls( kind of mouth freshener) it was good. Value for money. Definitely coming back again.
Absolutely loved our experience here. The food was amazing and the service was excellent. Had a lovely chat with Mr. Dharmesh, the owner, who is genuinely passionate about what he does. It's always nice to see someone put so much care into both the food and the customer experience. Great food, great people, and great hospitality. Looking forward to visiting again soon!
Wonderful experience having a family dinner here. We all enjoyed our dishes and found the food tasty. Service was particularly exceptional and friendly. Highly recommended!
Cannot recommend this place high enough. Finally a place where you can actually taste every ingredient of the food and not just buckets of oil and over cooked spices. Great staff, great service. A bit cosy but worth the wait. Make sure you have the free paan shot at the end. A must for every foodie.
We went for lunch and tried the a la carte menu and not the weekend thali. Food was good, like the mini idlis and masala dosa. I would not recommend ordering any North Indian dishes here. Service was a bit spotty but they are very open to suggestions and willing to listen and change. Overall good place for lunch or dinner. Location is on Church Street right next to Felton St light rail station.
