Fantastic Vietnamese spot in Strathfield 👍. The Special Pho DAC BIET was loaded with meat 😁, and the broth was super flavourful without being oily 😌. The Bun Bo Hue was rich, hearty, and packed with meaty goodness 😋. The serving sizes were pretty big too 😮. I’d also definitely recommend the Nem cua be Hai Phong; it was really crispy and filled with tasty goodness 👏. You order and pay at the counter at the back of the restaurant 🙏. The place was bright and well-kept, and the staff were polite and professional ✨.

I’ve been to Alo Ban in Strathfield a few times now and honestly, it just keeps getting better every visit. It’s as authentic as Vietnamese food gets - everything tastes fresh, vibrant, and clearly made with care. The menu is nice and concise, but everything on it is an absolute cracker. You can tell they’ve focused on doing a smaller range really well rather than trying to do too much. What really stands out (aside from the food) is the people behind it. The staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and you can tell the owners are genuinely passionate about what they’re putting out. There’s a real sense of pride in every dish. It’s been great to see the place starting to pick up more traction lately - well deserved in my opinion. If you’re after proper Vietnamese food that’s consistent, fresh, and full of flavour, this spot is definitely worth checking out.

Alo Ban — amazing Vietnamese restaurant in the heart of Strathfield. The atmosphere is beautiful, with a really good vibe, fresh décor, and service that is another level — personal, warm, and genuine in that true Vietnamese way. But we’re here for the food, and honestly, I feel like I’m in Vietnam. The quality, the effort, the flavours, and the attention to detail are outstanding. I’m in love with this place. Highly recommend.

Had a really nice meal at ALO BAN 🍜✨ The Special Pho was rich, comforting, and even better with their signature sauces. We also loved the BUN GA NUONG and BUN DAC BIET, soft noodles, fresh ingredients, and generous toppings 🤤 Finished with their avocado coffee which was super refreshing too 🥑 Definitely a spot worth trying in Strathfield 🫶🏻

In Ashfield, Burwood, and Strathfield—that whole friendly Asian neighborhood—my go-to for Northern Vietnamese food is Alo Ban in Strathfield. Their pho is honest and authentic, not overpowered by fake flavors. The place is comfortable, the atmosphere is nice, and the staff are friendly with real Vietnamese smiles. Just comforting, homey, delicious food.
