I decided to bring a friend to this restaurant after reading positive feedback online, but I regret the decision deeply. Unfortunately, our experience was quite the opposite of what we had hoped for. We ordered half a duck, goat curry, crab claw with chips, and water spinach stir-fried with garlic. The only dish that was remotely acceptable was the water spinach. The crab claw and chips were clearly old food, likely reheated in the microwave. They were cold inside and in terrible condition. I have never seen such a poorly prepared crab dish, especially at the price of $9.90. The curry was the most disappointing dish. My friend loves Vietnamese curry, so I ordered it for her, but it was bland and lacked any distinctive flavors. It wasn't salty, sweet, or savory โ just utterly tasteless. For a dish priced at $25, the portion was small (totaly only 6 pieces with maily bones) and unsatisfying. The duck was another letdown. It consisted of small, dark-colored chunks that were hard to chew and flavorless, topped with some mysterious white powder that was definitely not salt. Paying $40 for that dish is simply unbelievable. Moreover, the restaurant's atmosphere was off-putting. There was a large garbage bin near the entrance, emitting an unpleasant smell, and although there was loud music playing, the chopping sounds from the kitchen were clearly audible. This is not what I expect from a restaurant. Overall, this was a shocking experience, and I was embarrassed in front of my friend after proudly introducing her to Vietnamese cuisine. We quickly finished our meal and left in disappointment. I urge others to think twice before dining here. This was not just a disappointing meal, but an experience I wish to forget.
Just opened last week. Very authentic vietnamese beef noodles soup. The portions were generous, beef tasted juicy, the soup fantastic. Vegetables fresh. Like to come back.
The hospitality here was great! The food was delicious and fresh. We had the sweet and sour fish soup with braised fish, and we knew it was fresh since they caught it in front of us.
I'm fasting food & only needed soup, they were very kind & generous to quickly accommodate my specific needs, and then soup was delicious! ๐คค
Despite the great food, do not support these guys. They are super dodgy. The meal was great, very fresh and tasty. However... when paying, they only took cash or bank transfer, refused to give me a receipt and wouldn't even give me their ABN so that I could claim reimbursement from my employer. The other issue I had was that the acoustics were dreadful. I could hardly understand anything anyone said due to the way the sound travelled around the room. Really ruined what little atmosphere there was.
