Banh Mi Plus Express at Bay Central is a convenient option if you’re already in the centre, but the overall experience was mixed. It works in a pinch, though it falls short compared to other local banh mi spots. 🥖 The fillings were decent and reasonably generous, but the bread was far too hard, which really let the banh mi down. For a banh mi, bread quality is crucial, and this didn’t meet expectations. 💰 It’s very expensive for banh mi, roughly 50% more than nearby alternatives. That premium is hard to justify given the average overall quality, especially when local options do better bread for less. 👋 Service felt disorganised and very slow. One staff member handed out order numbers while another shouted out fillings, which made it confusing to know when your order was ready. 📍 The shop is right in the heart of Bay Central, making it extremely convenient. It’s also a solid healthier food option compared to many other choices in the centre. Overall, I wouldn’t go back if another local banh mi shop was an option, but I wouldn’t hate going again if I needed something while already at Bay Central.

I had the lemon grass chicken Banh mi .. and it was delicious, perfect quantities of salad to meat ratio , crisp daikon , tender meat .. I will be back !!
As a Vietnamese Australian, I can say I’ve had Banh Mi at most places in Sydney. How ever, Banh Mi Express Plus has definitely the best Banh Mi I’ve had in a long time. Thank you for the childhood memories and one of the best tasting Banh Mi in Sydney!
