We chose to sit upstairs, where the atmosphere has a slightly vintage charm and feels quite pleasant overall. The only small inconvenience is that there is just one restroom for the whole restaurant, which can be a bit limiting at times 😂. Food: The pricing is on the higher side, and the menu feels like a Vietnamese interpretation tailored more toward international diners, with presentation often standing out more than the flavors. I would recommend the little rice cakes—they’re savory, snack-like, and quite unique compared to what you find elsewhere. The Bonfire prawn and beef is a very interactive and memorable dish, cooked right at the table, which adds a great sense of occasion. The staff also help prepare the rice paper wraps. However, a few pieces weren’t fully softened, making parts of it a bit firm to chew. The caramelised fish uses a rich, fatty salmon paired with oil-fried eggplant. While the ginger helps balance the fishiness, the overall dish leans a bit oily, and the flavor could be more deeply infused into the fish for better balance. Dessert: The corn pudding and Harry’s crispy crepe were both enjoyable. It would be even better if the banana had a softer, more tender texture. Service: The service was truly outstanding! The staff upstairs were attentive and professional throughout—it’s definitely the kind of place I would return to for the service alone.

Although one of the main dishes didn’t arrive at the same time as the rest of the table (which was a bit stressful as we had a timed booking for a comedy show), the food itself was exceptional. The prawn rice roll we had as a starter was beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the crispy roast chicken. Despite the timing issue, I would definitely come back again for the quality of the food.

We have been visiting Bay Tinh for 30+ years but a few years ago felt the dishes sadly lacked the finesse and flavours previously enjoyed. We have just started dining again and found the food to be delicious and consistently good over a 2 week period and the service was amazing. We will certainly be frequenting again. Thank you.

Great feed for the 4 of us. Food was tasty and the service staff were very attentive. All food came out quickly, it was excellent!
