Other peoples’ Google reviews made me decide to try this little place. Easy to locate, unassuming, menu is not extensive (this is good as it usually means they focus on a few good dishes and they do it really well!). Ordered their egg pancake with prawns and pork. It was a very generous portion for two people. Lots of fresh vegetables to go with the dish. Yums! Delicious homemade chili sauce that goes with it as well as the Vietnamese Nước Chấm. Tea is quite nice, to my surprise. I think pandan leave or lemon grass is added to the tea hence the flavour is very unique and refreshing. Ordered apple juice and it was made fresh on the spot. All in all, wonderful experience!
Definitely a hidden gem. Best vietnamese savoury pancake in sydney Authentic noodle dishes e.g. bun mam, bun rieu Humble place, excellent food
Absolutely loved this place. Very cozy place and the lady welcomed me warmly and the food was great. Big portion and couldn’t finish it.She couldn’t speak english so there was a language barrier but it was not an issue at all. I ordered the food and sat down. While waiting for my food another customer came and paid cash so i asked the lady if this is cash only I didn’t had cash so i told them I’ll take out cash and come back for food. The lady from the shop offered me to eat the food first and then go bring the money.( the customer translated for me) but i did go and bring the cash before eating but her gesture was very kind and thoughtful.
This shop and La Ca 43 are the same. They sell different food at night time, especially hotpot for 1 person. The food was great. We really enjoyed their tofu with reserved egg, their bo nhung giam (beef dipped in vinegar). The staff was very friendly. The shop was quite new so it was hard to discover but it is located few steps away from Mam Mam, old location of Banh Cuon Kim Thanh. Our 2 dishes costed $32 so it was awesome.
Excellent little hidden gem tucked away in the heart Bankstown, Food was tasty and fresh.
