The food was good, but the service was disappointing. Our order was taken at 7:25 PM, and at 7:50 PM another staff member came over to ask for the order again because it had never been submitted. What was most disappointing was that no one apologized for the mistake. While the food quality was satisfactory, the service experience greatly reduced our overall impression of the restaurant.
Are you looking for an authentic Northern Vietnamese restaurant? This is the restaurant that you want to give a try! As a Vietnamese, the food and all the flavour are spot on, especially the shrimp paste! Their shrimp paste is well seasoning and delicious. Beside that, the sate grilled ox tongue and sticky rice are must-try, I love it the moment I tried. The price compare to the portion and quality is really reasonable, the portion is good for group 3-4. Highly recommend for someone who never try Vietnamese shrimp paste and want to give it a first GOOD try or anyone who love Vietnamese cuisine.
Bun Dau Mam Tom platter for 2 was so good, we'll be coming back! Prompt service, straightforward. The tofu was so fresh - crispy outside, melt-in-your-mouth on the inside. Every element was seasoned perfectly! I feel like I'm back in Vietnam.
Nice Vietnamese food great for large groups too! The egg and garlic rice was nice as an accompaniment to the meals! The Bun Cha was nice and had good flavour. The oc was a bit chewy but the sauce was nice. The lychee tea and coconut juice were both nice too. The seafood platter was good and plenty for 4 people I liked the scallops the most very buttery sauce! The green dipping sauce and squid were also really good. The restaurant was super full on a weekend night, highly recommend to book ahead!
First time here and it transported me back to Vietnam! We ordered the bún đậu mắm tôm (vermicelli with shrimp paste) set, which was packed with authentic flavours. The crispy spring rolls, green sticky rice patties, steamed boneless pork leg with lemongrass, grilled pork sausage and fried tofu were all delicious, especially with the rich shrimp paste dipping sauce—so good! Next, we had hến xúc bánh đa (stir-fried baby clams with sesame rice crackers), another fantastic dish. While it tasted great, the clams lacked sweetness, likely due to being frozen. Still, a very notable dish. The cá chém chiên giòn sốt Singapore (crispy whole barramundi with Singapore sauce) was incredibly tender but lost its crispiness due to the creamy sauce. Next time, I’d opt for the tamarind sauce instead. The fried prawns were delicious, though the salted egg coating could have been a bit saltier and more umami-rich. With amazing food and a warm ambience, this place truly captures the essence of Vietnam. I’ll definitely be back!
