Nha Trang Quan delivers high-impact flavour at a price point that feels almost under-market for what you get. The dishes are generous, fresh, and properly balanced. The vermicelli bowl is a standout: crisp vegetables, well-seasoned meat, and noodles with the right bite. Nothing feels mass-produced; it tastes like a kitchen that cares about doing things properly. The Vietnamese iced coffee is exactly what you want on a hot day: strong, slightly sweet, and genuinely refreshing. It cuts through the richness of the food and rounds out the meal perfectly. Overall, this is the kind of Vietnamese spot you keep coming back to. Super tasty food, fast service, and wallet-friendly pricing without compromising quality.

The worst restaurant I’ve ever been to in terms of food quality. We ordered Crispy Chicken with Tomato Rice – the chicken quality was really bad; it wasn’t fresh. The rice barely looked or tasted like tomato rice. My husband ordered Hainanese Chicken with Egg Noodles, and again, the chicken quality was off. The color of the chicken looked odd, almost as if it had been fermented, and it was very chewy. It was actually the first time he didn’t finish his meal, which says a lot because he is a BIG eater. The amount of chicken in the tomato rice was also disproportionately small. I asked for a takeaway box for the rice, but they charged $1 – double what most other places charge. On the positive side, I’ll give one star for the taste of the soup. I don’t understand how the quality can be this bad when they have to compete with so many other restaurants in the area….

we came back to try again 03/2025. Food was still the same, just ok, Service was actually worse, Food took more than 30 mins to come out,not worth the wait... .... We had Bun Cha ca (Fish cake noodles soup) and banh beo (steam rice flour cake with dry scrimp). Both dishes were very good. tried Bun Bo Hue (spicy beef noodles soup), it's not too bad , a little too spicy, not as good as some other places in the area.

Frankly was trying to get into the more popular Vietnamese restaurant just opposite to Nha Trang Quan but their service put me off a little so decided to try this one instead. Considering English is probably not their first language for the older staff, service is not bad at all. And the food was delicious, much better than most viet food I’ve tried elsewhere. The Pho broth is perfect! Great price, friendly and humble staff too! Will definitely come back again!

Had lunch with the family. Staff was friendly and service was pretty good. The food is really nice and authentic. Tucked in a side lane from the busy John St.
