First time trying Perilla near North Ryde Station, and it definitely won't be my last. I ordered the vermicelli with crispy pork and spring rolls, while my colleague had the chicken pho. He said the pho was very tasty, well-balanced, and tasted incredibly fresh. My crispy pork was excellent—perfectly crispy on the outside while remaining succulent and juicy on the inside. The portion size was also very satisfying. The spring rolls were exactly what you'd hope for from a good Vietnamese restaurant: crispy, crunchy, and full of flavour. They paired perfectly with the fish sauce and sliced chilli. Overall, a delicious and satisfying meal with fresh ingredients and generous portions. I'll definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
We come here most mornings for our coffee and it’s consistently great. The service is efficient and you’re always greeted with warm smiles and friendly service. We recently tried their lunch menu which was delicious, fresh and fast. The portions are large and great value for money. Highly recommend the vermicelli salad.
This place can be a little hard to find as while the address is Delhi Road, the restaurant and street parking are not. You are better off to navigate to Network Place. Perilla is a cross between a cafe and a restaurant. It's a cross between Aussie and Vietnamese food and drinks. We had the crispy pork noodles, and it was excellent. The vegetarian spring roll included was really good and soaked up the sauce due to its birds nest outer coating. The flavours are really good and the food was fresh and delicious. We also got the salt and pepper seafood entree, which was a mix of prawns and squid. I really enjoyed it and look forward to further exploring their menu. Parking on a Friday afternoon is a punish, but it's there if you look hard enough and don't mind a walk. The staff were friendly and attentive. We were approached within a few minutes to order, and the food came surprisingly quick despite it being fairly busy. I'd recommend this place to anyone.
It looks like a cafe from outside but you can have fresh Vietnamese brunch or lunch inside. Safe to walk right in. Perilla cafe makes good coffee and has a good range of cake/bread. What’s unique about this cafe is it serves good quality Vietnamese cuisine. From Pho to Vermicelli Noodle Salad, the menu is complete. I had a Crackling Pork Vermicelli Noodle Salad and it’s the most well presented Vermicelli Noodle Salad I’ve seen. Spring roll and pork were great. I wish there was more sauce to bring it all together. Crackling pork Bánh mì was nicely put together and it was delicious The lemon poppyseed based cake was nice too. For these reasons I give this place 3 stars
This Vietnamese eatery excels in serving delightful pho, offering a flavorful experience for those craving this traditional dish. However, a notable drawback is the presence of a considerable number of flies within the restaurant, which can significantly disrupt the overall dining experience. For those with a sweet tooth, the Vietnamese coffee served here leans towards the sugary side, so it's advisable to exercise caution if you prefer your coffee less sweet.
