I’m so angry — it ruined my dinner. I visited the shop at around 8:30 PM and ordered a soup. The taste was great, and I really enjoyed it. I was even sweating a little because hot soup. Suddenly, one of the waiters opened the door and started cleaning the floor still restaurant operating. The open door made the dining area cold, and since I was already sweating, I started to feel uncomfortable. There were still about five tables occupied, and customers were eating. The cleaning water and chemical smell spread throughout the dining area. It made the atmosphere very unpleasant and uncomfortable for customers. I couldn’t understand why customers were treated like that while they were dining in. If you want to start cleaning at 8:30 PM, then don’t welcome customers at that time—just close. Why didn’t you wait until the restaurant was closed before cleaning the floor? I had to pay for this poor customer service and was kicked out before I had even finished my food.

The 5 stars is for the Bun Bo Hue. This is almost on the same taste as Dong Ba in cabramatta. It blows all other Bun Bo Hue in northern suburbs, north shore, inner west suburbs out of the water. It’s simply too difficult to find good bun Bo hue out of cabramatta besides this place. I’ve lived in cabramatta for 25 years then moved to Ryde council area and haven’t found bun Bo hue as close until trying it here. Chefs / owners are from Vietnam and advised they made it as close to how it’s made back in Vietnam in their home town with local ingredients to Australia.

When I first started dining out in Eastwood, the very first restaurant I tried was Pho Gia Hoi. Unfortunately, that experience was shocking—my bowl of rare beef Phở noodle soup came with insects inside. The waiting staff were unfriendly, more interested in chatting with each other than serving customers. After that, I avoided the restaurant for a year, and I wasn’t surprised when it eventually closed down. Thankfully, Eastwood offers plenty of other dining choices. Over the years, I explored many restaurants in town. One option I found was Pho Co Eastwood, which is convenient for a quick meal or casual dinner at a budget price. It’s especially handy if you’ve just finished shopping at the local market, since you can dine in with a trolley. The dishes are simple—neither outstanding nor disappointing. Be aware they add a 1.5% surcharge for credit card payments. A porcelain cat waves to you at the counter when you pay, which adds a quirky touch to the experience.

Had a great experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. James, our waiter, was very friendly and attentive, he even offered us extra chilli and satay sauce, which was a nice touch. All our orders were spot on. The food came out in about 15 minutes, and it was definitely worth the wait. I had the brisket and tendon pho, absolutely delicious! The soup was rich and full of flavour, and the tendons were perfectly soft. Great combination overall. Would happily come back!

Whenever I visit Eastwood, I always make a beeline for this Vietnamese restaurant. I reckon it’s one of the best in the whole of Sydney’s Northwest. 👍⭐️ They’ve got a fantastic menu with dishes from all over Vietnam. But the star of the show is their grilled pork chop - it’s absolutely mouthwatering! 😮‍💨🤤 The only downside is that the queue can be quite long, and the inside can be quite noisy if it’s fully occupied.
