The portion was generous; we ordered original stir-fried rare beef pho. The avocado milk was also delicious. Perhaps because it was close to closing time, the chicken was sold out. I'd like to try it next time.

I’ve been eating pho here regularly since 2025 and have probably visited more than 20 times. It used to be one of my favourite places, but honestly, something seems to have changed in the last two weeks. Did you change the chef or modify the recipe? The soup tastes noticeably different from before and tastes honestly really bad.… At first, I thought it might just be me, so I asked a friend who also loves eating at your restaurant. Without me saying much, she felt exactly the same that the soup tastes quite different from what it used to.And we’re considering to change to different restaurant I’m leaving this review because I’ve genuinely enjoyed this place for a long time and hope this is just a temporary issue. I’d love to see the pho return to the standard it used to be.

Best Vietnamese pho & cuisine in Sydney at Burwood! There are many nice restaurants in Burwood, we are pleasantly surprise with this place that serve delicious beef pho, Vietnamese rice noodles & spring rolls at Burwood next to Burwood Westfield on the main street.

We recently visited Pho Hanoi 1979 and tried a few dishes. 🍜 Original Stir-Fried Rare Beef Phở ($19.90) – The broth was rich, flavourful, and full of depth. The flash-fried rare beef was tender, and the portion was generous. 🍜 Chicken Phở ($19.90) – The broth was light, clean, and full of flavour, with plenty of tender chicken. It was also served in a generous portion. 🥖 Classic Pork Roll ($9) – The ingredients were fresh, and the portion was generous. The taste was decent, but it didn't quite stand out for us. 🥑 Avocado Smoothie ($5.40) – It tasted mostly like milk, and the avocado flavour was quite weak. We'll be back to try some of the other dishes next time.

Went here to try it out myself since recently it has mixed reviews, and I am with the one that gives negative reviews on this restaurant. Ordered their rare beef pho, the size is generous, but the taste is really underwhelming compared to other pho place I have tried in Sydney. There is lack of richness in their broth, and it just lacking in all aspects. The indoor seating area smells bit unpleasant, and there are flies flying around that's really annoying and making you question how clean are they actually is, because I havent really encountered fly problem in other restaurant around the area. The music, man what is wrong with the music setting??? It's loud, unpleasant at all, like its more into a nightclub music setting compared to actual restaurant music, it's even better if the music is turned OFF. I don't know who decided to set up this club music, guess the management need to review their choices. I haven't tried their banh mi yet but I don't think this restaurant is worth a return visit.
