If you arrive and see a line, it’s absolutely worth the wait. The food at Tam Tam on Phillip Street is delicious and genuinely authentic, with generous serving sizes. The laksа was incredibly flavoursome and comforting. Drinks were refreshing and clearly freshly made. Such a great spot in Parramatta … will definitely be back.
The best Vietnamese restaurant you will come across in a long while. Each dish is absolutely delicious and lovingly crafted. Bursting with flavour and freshness. Fried foods are not too oily or greasy, spices are at the perfect level to complement the dish. There is so much variety. Seriously, pick anything on the menu and you are bound to be in for a good time (especially the vegetarian dumplings!). The prices are fair and the portion sizes are massive. Meaning you won’t go home hungry, or you’ll have tasty leftovers. The staff are lovely, friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating, the wait times are negligible, even when bustling with customers. Tam Tam is a MUST for anyone who wants a good meal.
Fast Service, Big Flavours, & a Pho worth coming back for. Tam Tam Vietnamese on Phillip Street, Parramatta delivers exactly what you want from a great local favourite: quick service, bold flavours, and comforting traditional dishes done right. On this visit, the rare beef pho arrived steaming and deeply aromatic, its broth tasty and satisfying, showcasing honest Vietnamese cooking without unnecessary fuss. Service was prompt and genuinely friendly, while the relaxed, clean atmosphere made it easy to linger over the meal. Faultless from start to finish—this spot has earned a place on my regular rotation and comes highly recommended.
We tried the special beef pho and the crispy chicken chow mein, both were decent but didn’t quite stand out for me. Surprisingly, the highlight of the meal was the spring rolls; they were fresh and perfectly crispy. On the plus side, the wait time wasn’t long at all for us, although that might have been due to the time and day we visited.
This place is too good. Food arrived literally 5mins after we ordered and was really delicious. I ordered the chicken rice noodle soup and the chicken was sous-vide-level tender. Service was efficient and low fuss.
