I wanted to like this place but don't think I could. The rice rolls didn't have much flavour in it and what didn't help was the sauce didn't have an impact either. It just didn't taste right. Thr spring rolls were kinda alright maybe average but it was fine. I didn't appreciate the staff telling me initially when I ordered I couldn't get the meat only rolls and had to get the combination. I asked to just have a smaller serving of the meat rolls but they "checked" and said full serving was fine. Wish they were just more upfro t about it.
This delightful restaurant in the Marrickville area is a fantastic spot to savor authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The welcoming staff provide exceptional service, making every visit enjoyable. You'll find the food portions to be both generous and satisfying, ensuring a fulfilling dining experience. One standout dish is the tomato rice, bursting with flavor and paired wonderfully with the perfectly cooked lemon grass pork chop, which offers a delightful crunch with each bite. Don’t miss the beef noodle soup; it’s infused with a unique garlic flavor that elevates the dish, complemented perfectly by tender, large ribs that melt in your mouth. Please note, if you choose to pay by electronic card, there will be an additional surcharge.
My first time trying ban cuon and the ones we had here were delicious - rice rolls had a good chew, good sauce and overall really delicious. The goose was juicy but not greasy, the dipping sauce went very well with the dark meat as well. The stuffed chicken wing was also crispy and generously filled. We were really happy with our meal.
A really nice family run Vietnamese restaurant along the busy Marrickville strip. They are known for their banh cuon and it does not disappoint. However their pho was also quite good and it was a good choice to follow the recommendation of the staff to add the beef ribs. The beef rib was very good and made the pho just that bit better. Entrees of stuffed chicken drumsticks and spring rolls were good. Salt and pepper calamari was just ok, and would return for the banh cuon and pho. The staff were very friendly as well.
Walking along Marrickville Road I discovered this lovely Vietnamese Restaurant. It is very clean inside. There are many choices to choose from. I chose Lemongrass Chicken Bun, Vietnamese Spring Rolls and Crispy Chicken wings. The food was fresh and the table service excellent. Free hot tea available. An excellent find!
