I was excited to try this restaurant after reading all the glowing reviews. Many people seemed to rave about the lamb rump, duck breast, and steak, so I decided to go with the lamb rump for my main. It was good, though not mind-blowing. We also tried all the sides - the shoestring fries with aioli, the baby gem, and the tomato salad - and they were all delicious. The fries were especially impressive, perfectly crispy and full of flavour. The service was really nice and friendly. Edit: We came back for the Wednesday steak night, and it was delicious. The chicken liver parfait and the prawns were delicious as well!
Couldn't recommend a better place for a mid week steak!! Great steak and sauce and perfect size with fries. Creme brulee we shared was delicious 😋 and service was 10/10, such a nice guy and deserves this great write up! We will deffo be going back we had a lovely night 👌🏻
Really excellent food in a friendly and relaxed environment. The staff, including the chef, are very engaging and clearly want you to have a great experience. We visited twice. The seared tuna and pan-fried fish were great. Go!
To say we had a great time would be an understatement. Hands down one of the best restuarnts we've been to in a VERY long time, and already can't wait to go back again. Every dish was super tasty, with the lamb being an absolute standout. Service was also top notched and we were made to feel so welcomed from the moment we arrived. Thank you for such a great evening!
Dined at Black Bottle last night (Sat) as part of a group of 6. Food sensational, service was genuinely warm & efficient & wines impeccable! Chef & waiter are lovely, checking in with our table a few times. The pièce de résistance for me - the chocolate mousse! Next level! There were moans and groans from the table of those devouring the poached pears & crème brûlées. Oh & the 80’s / 90’s playlist made it all the more fun! Keep doing what you’re doing Black Bottle 🙂
